Mandatory URL

Drupal Modules - Wed, 04/01/2012 - 10:54am

This is a very simple module that enables the user to make the 'Custom Path' field required on node creation or edit. It works in a few simple steps.

1) Upload the contents of the mandatory_url folder to your modules directory. This is normally under /sites/all/modules if you're using a single installation profile.
2) Go to your modules area within the Drupal administration portal (/admin/build/modules) and enable 'Mandatory URL'. This module depends on the parent module 'Path' which is part of Drupal core and already installed when you set the site up for the first time.
3) Go to edit or create a page. The module will work automatically, as it plugs in directly to the page edit/creation hook.
