* من أنت ؟

How To Install VMware Server On A Fedora 7 Desktop

This tutorial provides step-by-step instructions on how to install VMware Server on a Fedora 7 desktop system. With VMware Server you can create and run guest operating systems ("virtual machines") such as Linux, Windows, FreeBSD, etc. under a host operating system. This has the benefit that you can run multiple operating systems on the same hardware which saves a lot of money, and you can move virtual machines from one VMware Server to the next one (or to a system that has the VMware Player which is also free).

Bubble Life aka Today Is Not Yesterday Of Tomorrow

EgypToz - Thu, 07/06/2007 - 12:54pm
Do you think you are living in the present time?
You are already dead. You lived your life. You have done what you wanted to do.
This life you are living right now is called the bubble life. It is the part of replaying the video tape of your actual life.
Bubble life creates an effect of fake reality.
In other words you do feel that you are in the present time while you are actually in the past.

md5 encryption at your fingertips

morphir.com - Thu, 07/06/2007 - 10:47am

I found my self in a dilemma here recently, I needed to generate my own md5 hash password on the fly (encryption).

So I found 3 ways to do this:

shell> php -r 'echo md5("test");'
--> 098f6bcd4621d373cade4e832627b4f6

mysql> select md5('test');
--> 098f6bcd4621d373cade4e832627b4f6

shell> echo -n test | md5sum
--> 098f6bcd4621d373cade4e832627b4f6

Noah Samara and the power of information

Ethan Zuckerman's musings on Africa, international development a - Thu, 07/06/2007 - 10:15am

I’ve followed the work of Noah Samara with Worldspace satellite radio for almost a decade. I’d heard he was a passionate man, but I hadn’t realized how passionate until I had long discussion with him two nights ago - he got down on his knees to make a point to me, a point I’d already happily conceded. He’s one of the most charming and inspiring men I’ve met in recent years.
