DebConf7 log - Sun, 24/06/2007 - 11:40pm

I want to write a blog entry about DebConf but I'm simply lost for words. Thank you to everyone for coming and making it such an incredible two weeks. Thanks to the rest of the orga team for working so hard; thanks to all of the non-orga people who have pitched in and saved the day countless times. For those of you I have not met in person before, it was a pleasure to do so: for those I have, it has been fantastic getting better acquainted.

DebConf7 and the net log - Mon, 04/06/2007 - 9:06pm

DebConf kicks off in less than a week (at least for the organisers) and I still don't have broadband at home. I'm typing this whilst sitting in a furniture shop around the corner from my house, where there are some open wifi points within range, which is what I've had to do for the last three or four IRC meetings and at various points in the weekends.

Organising conferences is hard!

Offline log - Wed, 09/05/2007 - 10:00am

In case you are wondering, I'm mostly offline at the moment: I'm between broadband providers and my new one isn't working yet. I use dial-up occassionally but it's only good enough for me to see the size of my inbox grow at a disturbing rate, and no use for actually reading my email.

DFA log - Tue, 03/04/2007 - 2:09pm

I'm well behind the curve here, but Death From Above 1979 is the coolest thing I've heard in a long time.

I'm still here. log - Thu, 29/03/2007 - 12:38pm

I'm still here, despite the lack of activity. A lot has happened and is still happening to me, but I can't write about it without seeming trite, and I can't write about anything else without it looking like I'm ignoring the big issues. So I write nothing.

2006 Reading, Part 2 log - Sat, 10/02/2007 - 6:42pm

This is now 2006/2007 reading, I suppose. here's part 1. We are nearly done, although I have enough of a backlog to write a part 3, at least.

Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman: Good Omens

A very enjoyable collaboration. The first Gaiman book that I've read, but it prompted me to get Anansi Boys and Stardust – the latter of which also carries a glowing recommendation from Susanna Clarke.
