DIY Map

Drupal Modules - Sat, 13/10/2007 - 4:17pm

DIY map generates clickable, zooming maps written in Flash. You can add points, color the states, add links, and much more. This module adds a layer on top of the Flash application to create and insert the maps into Drupal without having to manually edit an XML configuration file (although you can still write your own XML file).

The flash application has to be added manually and is available from this website : http://www.backspace.com/mapapp/
Please check licence condition before downloading

This module still needs some development but is already usable.

QueryCache

Drupal Modules - Fri, 12/10/2007 - 3:19pm

Allows users (everyone, including admin) to cache queries for a certain
time. It works perfectly with tables like 'system', 'variables', etc.
These tables hardly ever change during the standard application life.

Used on high traffic pages (5 million pages per month, 40000 users). Works perfectly well.

This module is useful if you fight with overloaded database server.

Features:
1. Uses CacheAPI or own file storage.
2. Rule based (regular expression) query selection.
3. Expires after certain time or on certain events.

Cart Theme

Drupal Modules - Wed, 10/10/2007 - 3:07am

This module works in tandem with taxonomy_theme to read your cart and theme the checkout process based on the theme assigned to the first item in your cart (as defined by cart_get_items() from cart.module.

We will be using this on a site where each donation node has its own theme and the donators should see that theme carried through the purchase process. Yes, it's a niche, but perhaps someone else will get some use out of this too.

This module is provided by The Web Collective.

Fieldset Menus

Drupal Modules - Mon, 08/10/2007 - 11:15pm

Fieldset Menus is a simple project designed as another way to bypass the slowness of the normal drupal menu system. Fieldset Menus presents each parent menu item (items that can expand) as fieldsets; thus, one does not have to navigate to the page of the parent item (Example: node/add, with title Create content) to see the child items (Example: node/add/forum, with title Forum topic). The fieldset, when clicked on, simply collapses or uncollapses.

This module has not been thoroughly tested, and should be considered alpha material. Any bug reports would be appreciated.

Theme Factory

Drupal Modules - Mon, 08/10/2007 - 9:27pm

It is still a work in progress. So use with caution.

Development sponsored by CivicSpace Labs.

Provides a single function, jquery_ui_backport_add(), which will make the javascript variable $ui available to your page. $ui has all of the jQuery UI functions available to it. $ will be unaffected.

Quota by role

Drupal Modules - Mon, 08/10/2007 - 10:29am

Quota by role is a module that confines certain roles to defined quotas.

For example, if a user belongs to the "marketing" role, you can limit that role to 5 new posts per day. Should the user exceed that limit, they will be denied on their 6th attempt, until a day has passed, at which they will be allowed again.

Should a user belong to more than one role, the roles will be evaluated using a weight system, and then the most restrictive quota will be used to check for content creation limits.

Node Browse

Drupal Modules - Fri, 05/10/2007 - 7:27pm
Brief description:

API for developers to provide an elegant and intuitive javascript interface to select, filter, and search nodes. An example usage of this would be for a node reference field, rather than having the user need to know / begin typing the node title, they could simply click 'browse' and the node browser interface would pop up, they select the node(s) they want, click ok and it autopopulates the textfields. This module will ship with a few usable modules implementing these features.
