Peptalk presentations

Drupal Modules - Mon, 25/06/2007 - 8:36pm

Allows you to view (configurable) node types as PowerPoint/Keynote-style presentations. Each heading tag (<h1> ... <h6>) defines a slide, which will be shown along with any content following it. You can use any input filter modules to create the presentation, and it is possible to use Peptalk on existing node content.

You might also like to take a look at the S5 presentation player module.

Drupal Modules - Mon, 25/06/2007 - 6:48pm

This module provides two items:
- A Torrent node type
- A BitTorrent tracker

The torrent node type allows users to upload a torrent along with a description. The type may be configured so that the announce URL is automatically changed to a specified value.

The tracker portion will track any torrent that has been uploaded to the site. The administrator can enforce share ratios and maximum number of simultaneous downloads.

- Implement passkey for the tracker / torrent
- Implement web-seeding extension
- Views integration

Drupal Modules - Mon, 25/06/2007 - 1:11am

Backlinks module provides "what links here" functionality for Views: give Views a nid (via URL argument, for instance), and it will generate a list of all nodes linking to that node, courtesy of search module's index.

This is an initial alpha and hasn't been used on a production site. It may not work and may not be useful (feel free to let me know).

To-do: add a forward-links functionality.

Conversation Pivots

Drupal Modules - Sun, 24/06/2007 - 11:02pm

The basic idea of Conversation Pivots is to be able to navigate from one item to a set of related items. For example, when examining the page for a module in, you could easily navigate to recent discussion related to the module, and from there back to other modules that are mentioned in that discussion.

Short Form

Drupal Modules - Sun, 24/06/2007 - 6:47pm

Create short form's from any form, mostly to place in a block.

It does this mostly through jquery:

  • removing the field title, and if the field has no value, and when the field does not have the focus, displays the field's title as it's value.
  • removing fieldsets
  • removing non-required textarea's

Short Form can be used by module developer's:

  • $form['#theme'] = 'shortform';
  • shortform_alter($form);

Short Form can be used by site builder's:

Drupal FTP

Drupal Modules - Fri, 22/06/2007 - 8:01pm

This is just an engine right now, and an FTP browser. Not sure where I'm going with this, but there wasn't anything giving an FTP interface in Drupal that I could find, so here's a start. Currently, it hard-codes the ftp u/p info, and defaults to, just to give you the point.

This is an extensive remodification of the my_ftp class at

Drupal Modules - Thu, 21/06/2007 - 11:33am

The Accessibility Module allows hand-held devices access to a correctly formatted web site specifically made for mobile browsers from one code base. This means that the site owner does not need to create separate versions of the site.

With basic device detection this module selects the correct "theme" to use and generates content accordingly. The content is also broken down into smaller chunks making download on a phone, for example, faster and the site should be easier to use.

Content can also be limited by role with the help of taxonomy_access module.

UIE Server Control

Drupal Modules - Tue, 19/06/2007 - 2:29am

Annotate is a small notation module (Ajax based*) for now.

It allows users to post personal notes on various nodes within the web site. For example, if you click on the most recent news story and scroll down you will see a small section called Annotate. If there is something that you need to write down about what you have read just write it there. It is saved and only you and the Administrator can see it.
