Hello All, I would like to announce that I have been working on setting up Asterisk Egypt User Group since sometime and now it is on-line, still a lot of work needs to be done, lots of volunteers and efforts needed but let us hope for the best. also I started by writing how-tos in English and hope soon will be in Arabic also. Well that is not my 1st asterisk / zaptel patch I do, but it is the 1st to commit into digium bug tracking system and I hope they will approve it. Mainly the patches are small and very easy, this one will add the support for Archlinux init script for start /stop / restart asterisk, since Archlinux uses /etc/rc.d "FreeBSD" style, it was a little bit odd.

It is happening again, some days I sleep normally " which means i wake up every couple of hours and go back to sleep again " and most of days most of the night i'm awake can't sleep having Insomnia , again I become something strange something I can't understand myself, most of the time I Don't understand my own behavior my own actions and reactions, it just i feel there is something wrong and that is it but i never knew what it is... this time seems to be a big one never know when it will ends but it has to.

Hello World!!!

at last after like 2 years with a shared 2MB internet Connectivity, I have my own 256K connection .. but it is mine i can do whatever i want with it and with the port fwd ,,,,, finally i can have my own asterisk server online with all the amazing feature i need .... and using wi-fi is more fun " TV + nice sofa + laptop + internet = rulz "

Pidgin is a multi protocol IM application , which supports lots of protocols like yahoo, msn , icq , japper " gtalk " and more. as far as i remember the appendices was the headers of gtk2.0, i'm not sure about the rest. anyway let us start compiling pidgin sure you can find packages for your distro. but i prefer to compile it from the source ;-)

Yesterday the last Friday of July was the System Administrator Appreciation Day , so happy sysadmin day for all the good sysadmins around the world, unfortunately some people thinks that administrators always relaxed and have so little work as long as the system is up and running, but it's not true, they always keep maintaining the services making sure everything running and update and many many other things . anyway I wish you all had a great day, not like me..

Friday, a day off for me I`m up since 7 am on my computer doing lots of stuff working , reading , chatting , emails ,etc ,etc ,etc. Even I'm so tired from the whole week work i couldn't get much sleep, i went to pray , back working on a problem with our router at work for 3 hours or so , find another problem on one of the servers had to go to to office for another 4 hours , back home find another problem in the same machine and can't go back to the office, i was trying to fix but i couldn't and here i`m now at 2 AM and I'm still awake .. .so tired but i can't get to sleep !!

At last, I have been thinking since long time about if really i want to blog and write or not .for some time I have seen people bloging for the good stuff , some bloging for nothing , some others blobing for human rights and some for political reasons. and here I am willing to blog most about computers , open source and about my self. It's nice thing that this post should be out exactly 00:00 at November the 5th "Remember Remember the 5th of November" like V said in V for Vendetta, one year from now and let us see how this blog grow or die same as me.
